Accessibility
How this website is kept usable for everyone and how to report a barrier.

starlumki aims to make starlumki.com usable on any device, in any browser and with any assistive technology. This statement sets out what has been done, which shortcomings remain and how to report a problem.
Our commitment
We treat accessibility as part of building and maintaining this website, not as a separate task. Whenever a page is added or the design changes, we check that the content can still be read with a screen reader, used with a keyboard and enlarged in the browser. This statement covers the pages published under starlumki.com.
Measures taken
The website uses semantic HTML with a clear heading structure, one main heading per page and link texts that make sense on their own. Navigation and main content are marked as separate regions, each page states its language for screen readers, and images that carry information have text alternatives.
Text, links and buttons are shown with a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 against their background. Sizes are set in relative units, so text can be enlarged in the browser without content being cut off, and links, menus and form fields can be used with the keyboard alone.
Limitations we know of
Some pictures are general illustrations with a short alternative text rather than a full description.
Feedback
If you encounter a barrier on this website, or cannot obtain information that you require, please inform us by email at [email protected] or by telephone on 0191 384 5127. It helps if you identify the page, describe what happened and mention the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within five working days.
Standards
We aim for conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. At present this site is only partially conformant: most content satisfies the guidelines, while the points listed below do not. Where a requirement cannot be met immediately, we look for another way of supplying the information.
Other ways to reach us
If a page on starlumki.com does not work for you, the same information can be obtained without using the website. We can be reached by telephone on 0191 384 5127, by email at [email protected] and by post at 14 Elvet Riverside Lane, Durham DH1 3JB. On request we will forward the content of a page in another form, for example as a plain text document.
Preparation and review
The present statement was prepared on 17 October 2026 on the basis of our own internal assessment. We inspected the principal page types with a keyboard, at an increased zoom setting and with a screen reader; no external audit was commissioned. The statement is reviewed once a year and after any substantial change to the website.
